The existing Choi Hung Road Playground and Sports Centre were commissioned between 1985 and 1988.   The Government proposes to redevelop the site under the 'single site, multiple use' model for better utilization of land resource with a view to improving the current facilities and including other services for meeting societal needs.  Existing sports and recreational facilities will be reprovisioned, enhanced and upgraded following the latest standards. New welfare, healthcare, community and parking facilities will also be provided in the proposed redevelopment.

The recommendations have been incorporated into the relevant Outline Zoning Plan.  The project will proceed from planning stage to implementation stage subject to resource allocation.
