The existing Choi Hung Road Playground and Sports Centre were commissioned between 1985 and 1988.   With an aim to improve the current facilities and to  include other services for meeting societal needs, a proposal to redevelop the subject site under the principle of ‘single site, multiple use’ for better utilization of land resource has been initiated.  Existing sports and recreational facilities will be reprovisioned, enhanced and upgraded following the latest standards. New welfare, healthcare, community and parking facilities will also be provided in the proposed redevelopment.

The recommendations have been incorporated into the relevant Outline Zoning Plan.  The project will proceed from planning stage to implementation stage subject to resource allocation.
