To take forward the policy initiative as promulgated in the 2017 Policy Agenda of reviewing the land uses of a site at Lai Yip Street near the Kwun Tong harbourfront, which includes studying the possibility of providing space for arts, culture and creative industries uses, the Government commissioned a study to optimize its future land uses in 2019. A maximum plot ratio of 12 with a building height of 100 mPD is proposed for the development at the site. A total of about 23 000 m2 will be used for office, retail, and food & beverage purposes, with hotel and arts, culture and creative industries uses being optional. We consulted relevant stakeholders on the study recommendations and refined the recommendations taking into consideration the comments received. The study was completed, and the study recommendations will be incorporated into the relevant Outline Zoning Plan in due course.
